Refactoring Barren Planet

I've been doing some more work on Barren Planet lately. Reviewing the code after an absence of a few months, and after the release of The Anarchic Kingdom, I came to the conclusion that it's more complicated than it needs to be. This has made bug tracking somewhat complicated.
To remedy this, I'll be going through the code, simplifying it and tidying it up (as programmers call it, "refactoring") so that it more resembles the standard I set in The Anarchic Kingdom. I've already made a start on this with the Wargame Engine Behind Barren Planet and possibly other future strategy games too.
As a teaser, I'll leave you with a screenshot (not a mockup) of the briefing to the first scenario of the First Landing campaign, which also serves as the introduction to the campaign itself. First Landing will be the campaign included with the game, with further campaigns to be released as DLC (downloadable content) after the game itself.
